ذكذكآ‏»­ welcomed the Class of 2029 to the Duluth main campus with an energetic Move-in Day at Somers Hall. On Friday, Aug. 29, first-year students arrived with their belongings, ready for Welcome Weekend.

Among the newest students was Avery Jacobson ’29, a nursing major from St. Cloud, MN, who shared her enthusiasm with : “I’m on the track team, and we start practices in the next few weeks, so I’m excited about that. And meeting new people.â€‌ As families assisted with the move, Ross, Avery’s father, expressed a mix of pride and nostalgia. “There’s mixed emotions,â€‌ he said. “We’re excited for her future, but it’s going to be weird without her around the house.â€‌

Delta Leaders, Resident Advisors, and other upperclassmen played a vital role in Move-in Day and Welcome Weekend, helping incoming families navigate the campus and even lending a hand with moving boxes. Move-in Day highlighted the Benedictine community at the College, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
